JW "Shorty" Carrington Earned His Wings

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has named JW “Shorty” Carrington from Columbia, Louisiana, a Highway Angel for informing a fellow truck driver that his rig was on fire, then extinguishing the flames before it got worse. Shorty joined the FTCT family in 2017.

Tony Barton Named Highway Angel

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has named truck driver Tony Barton, from Blountville, Tennessee, a Highway Angel for using his truck to block and protect a vehicle and driver that had crashed during a late-afternoon crash. Tony drives for FTC Transportation, Inc. based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Emory Mills Named TCA's Safety Professional of the Year

The Truckload Carriers Association awarded FTC Transportation’s Director of Safety & Driver Administration Emory Mills as the recipient of its 2022 TCA Safety Professional of the Year — Clare C. Casey Award. The announcement was made this week during TCA’s 41st Annual Safety & Security Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. This honor is bestowed upon a trucking industry professional whose actions and achievements have made a profound contribution to enhancing safety on North America’s highways.

Robert Rossi Named ATA's National Driver of the Year

We are excited to announce that our own Robert Rossi was named the American Trucking Association’s (ATA) National Driver of the Year this past Thursday evening in Orlando during their National Conference. Robert Rossi joined the FTCT team in 2016, and has been named FTC Transportation’s Driver of the Year for the past two consecutive years.

TCA Awards FTCT the Grand Trophy for Safety Among Small Carriers in North America

Last night was a night of celebration for FTC Transportation, as we received the Grand Trophy for Safety in the North America small carrier division from the Truckload Carriers Association & Great West Casualty Company! Our amazing team of drivers, mechanics, and staff made this possible through their ongoing dedication to safety. Congratulations, FTCT did it!

EPA Names FTCT a 2021 SmartWay High Performer

Fewer than 10 percent of all SmartWay carriers operate fleets efficient enough to make the SmartWay High Performer list for carbon emissions. Based on the performance of FTC Transportation, Inc.'s freight transportation operations, EPA named our company a 2021 SmartWay High Performer. We are honored to make this highly competitive list for the first time in 2021.

Oklahoma Driver of the Year & Grand Trophy For Safety

One of our drivers, Robert Rossi, was named 1 of 12 Oklahoma Professional Drivers. In addition, Robert earned the title of Oklahoma Driver of the Year! This is the first time one of our drivers has earned this prestigious award. FTCT won 2nd place in our division for safety and, for the third consecutive year and 5th time in the past 7 years, we were awarded the Grand Trophy for Safety.

2021 Best Fleets to Drive For Announced

2021 marks the 9th consecutive year, FTC Transportation has made the Best Fleets to Drive For list. It is such a incredible honor to be named 1 of only 20 carriers in all of North America, an honor which we hold in the highest regard.

Grand Trophy for Safety In Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Trucking Association awarded FTCT 2nd place for our division in safety during 2019 AND the Grand Trophy for Safety in Oklahoma. This is the 4th time in the past 6 years we have received this tremendous honor.
