Frederick Murray, FTCT Team Member since 2013, won 1st place for the 5 Axle Sleeper Berth Division in the 2016 Oklahoma Truck Driving Championships. Fred will now advance to the 2016 National Truck Driving Championships Aug. 10 – 13 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The two-day 2016 Oklahoma Truck Driving Championships, June 3-4, included a written exam, personal interview, pre-trip inspection skills test and a driving skills test that included six challenges. Fred’s first place honor was one of many honors he has received throughout his career.
Fred’s record consists of Safe Driving Awards a total of 10 times, including third runner-up for Driver of the Year at FTC Transportation, Inc. in 2014, and second runner-up for Driver of the Year at FTC Transportation, Inc. in 2015.
With a career of almost 40 years in the transportation field, Fred has successfully traveled 3.8 million safe driving miles.
