On July 22nd, Steve Hawkins with Great West Casualty Company presented two safety awards to FTC Transportation. The awards were a part of Great West’s 2013 safety awards program. FTC Transportation was honored for both workplace safety and highway safety through this program, receiving the Platinum Award for Workplace Safety and the Platinum National Safety Award.
The National Safety Awards program recognizes carriers in similar operations (truckload and less than truckload) with awards based on their year-end injury and preventable accident results. Carriers are eligible to receive a Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Participatory awards. This past year, the National Safety Awards program drew over 750 participants from across the country.
This is the 5th consecutive year in which FTC Transportation has received recognition for both Workplace and Highway Safety. In 2009, 2010, and 2011, 2012 FTCT received awards for both Workplace and Highway Safety.
