Two of our big hopes for every person that joins the FTC Transportation Team are:
1. They stay with us until retirement,
2. They are able to retire on their terms and not forced into retirement because of a health reason.
That is why at FTCT we are continuously working to support the health and well-being of our team and their families.
One of our most recent initiatives was for our smoking team members, to help encourage them to make that hard first step to put the pack down. If they want to quit, we want to support them. So, for every day they go smoke-free for an entire year we will add money to their jar. If they make it the full year, the jar of money is theirs to keep. If not, we will restart their jar whenever they are ready.
We are a small team of 34. We started this mission with 9 smokers, and already have 2 that have accepted the challenge and another one in the works (she is down from 20 a day to 4 in just the past week! That middle jar is waiting for her.) With just 7 smokers, our team is almost 80% smoke-free!
We are so proud of the hard work to overcome this tough addiction, and hope you will join us in cheering them on to their new, healthier life!
